The lower end of the SMB succession market is underserved. Brokers won't touch a $50k consulting practice or a one-person bakery. Most micro-business owners ready to step away end up shutting down—knowledge, clients, infrastructure lost.

Relevia matches outgoing solopreneurs, freelancers and micro-business owners with aspiring entrepreneurs ready to take over instead of starting from scratch. Profile-based matching with explicit consent, full transparency on how matches are scored, and a right to explanation built into the UI.

Loi 25 art. 12.1 (automated decision-making affecting individuals) is baked into the product, not bolted on. Both outgoing owners and aspiring takers see exactly why a match did or didn't happen.

Mini-monorepo

Turborepo with apps/web, apps/admin, and 4 shared packages (@relevia/db, auth, email, quiz). Clean boundaries, fast builds, no leakage between concerns.

MFA admin

Admin panel on subdomain (admin.relevia.ca). MFA TOTP mandatory. Separate session cookies. Bcrypt 12 rounds. No magic links to admin.

Functions pinned to Montréal region. Supabase ca-central. SES ca-central. Bedrock ca-central. End-to-end Quebec data residency.

404 web + 79 admin + 18 auth + 13 quiz tests. We test the boring edges: authorization, race conditions, cross-tenant access attempts.

Right to explain

Every match score is decomposable: business profile fit, region, sector experience, transfer readiness. Both outgoing owners and aspiring takers see exactly why a match did or didn't happen.
